Are You Ready For Your Photographer?

How do we navigate in a world where everything seems uncertain? If it doesn't seem like there are enough troubling things in the world to think about, try adding SELLING YOUR HOME to the list. 😬

Well, Corona. Like it or not, people still need a place to live. And in all hope, a place to THRIVE. Selling your home means a world of opportunities. It can be a challenging project, but that doesn't mean it has to be a burden!

Lately, the way we live our lives, perform our jobs, and interact with each other has been constantly evolving. Its been a whirlwind of confusion! But one thing hasn't changed.

At RE PIXS, we are dedicated to delivering the best results. We have a diverse staff of experienced photographers, who are trained to deliver quality work in a responsible way.

From photographing houses in all different types of conditions, we are maestros at adaptation. Our photographers are donning their armor, going into the field, and are taking care to market your property in a harmonized way.

This is an uncertain time in so many different ways. Don't let making your home STAND OUT be uncertain too! We have in-depth procedures for how you can prepare yourself, your listing, and your sellers for your next appointment. We also have so many virtual tour options to help you list a property during these crazy times - check out this blog post here for more!

Here's a quick walk-through of how things have changed!

The Formal Breakdown

  • As of March 23rd, 2020 RE PIXS has restricted ALL human contact on photo shoots until further notice.

  • Moving forward we will continue to follow all advice given by both Governor Insley of Washington and Governor Brown of Oregon.

  • As of now, RE PIXS is able to continue doing photography for vacant or vacated homes in both Oregon and Washington.

In efforts to keep our small businesses open and thriving during these unprecedented times, we ask that all homes booked must be sanitized and have a lockbox code provided prior to arrival.

Please make sure that your listing is ready to be photographed, as our team will not be doing any additional staging. It is our goal to keep everyone healthy by drastically reducing touch-points around the house. If you or your sellers are unable to accommodate these requests please let us know and we will postpone your photoshoot for a later date.

In short, RE PIXS is able to continue business by temporarily restricting all in-person, on-site public interaction.

All bookings will be facilitated remotely, photoshoots and 3D scans will be completed for vacant or vacated homes ONLY. If there are people present when the photographer arrives the photoshoot will automatically be canceled and we will work with you to reschedule for a time when the property is vacant.

In efforts to match our standards, we have updated our Staging Home Guide here.

Please refer to this guide, or contact our office if you have questions about finishing details. We want to make sure your home is ready and looking stunning!

The Fine Print

WA Realtors: In proclamation 20-25 (Stay home, Stay Safe Order) it states in section 3c "This prohibition does not apply to businesses consisting exclusively of employees or contractors performing business activities at their home or residence, and who do not engage in in-person contact with clients." and "This Proclamation shall not be construed to prohibit working from home, operating a single owner business with no in-person, on-site public interaction". We have reached out directly to Governor Insley's team and have some further clarification to share with our Washington Realtors: Under Proclamation 20-25, the real estate and mortgage industries are deemed essential. Not all real estate activity is permitted, however. For example, open houses are strictly prohibited. In-person meetings with customers are likewise prohibited, except when necessary to view a property or sign documents. Viewings, inspections, appraisals, and final walk-throughs shall be arranged by appointment and limited to no more than two people on-site at any one time. All new real estate listings shall be facilitated remotely, and any in-person meeting must follow the social distancing and sanitation measures described in the proclamation. The Governor takes this decision very seriously. Nonetheless, he believes that the best way to control the spread of COVID-19 is to temporarily limit interaction as much as possible.

OR Realtors:In regards to Governor Brown's executive order 20-12 given Monday, March 23rd, 2020 RE PIXS will be taking strong measures to protect our team, our clients, the homeowners, and our community. The intention of this Executive Order is to reduce person-to-person interaction with the goal of slowing the transmission of COVID-19 (page 2). All businesses shall facilitate telework and work from home facilities to the maximum extent possible. As of now RE PIXS will only be photographing homes that are vacant or vacated during the time of our appointment until further notice. If anyone is present when the photographer arrives the appointment will automatically be canceled. We are taking these measures very seriously to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

We will continually be following all mandated orders. We look forward to getting through this together, healthier, happier, and even stronger than before!
